Steiner - we're not rats, but Kettenhund - Heer, Luftwaffe und Waffen SS. We don't have an active Kriegsmarine FG since Che is a law into himself :rofl:

58 patt shovel, although its a full foot shorter than a ww2 one, i have stripped the paint from the shaft and sanded/varnished it. it will do the job.

Decided to put a brit para loadoutout together after finding some webbing in a skip.
Denison from SOF, Australian Officers BD trousers fleabay £20:

Webbing:

Large radio back pack with L straps, 3 ammo pouches, a small pack, belt, bayonet frog all from the skip!
44 patt holster £9, 37 patt holster £9.99 and £4 long cross straps all from fleabay
Waterbottle & carrier £2 car boot sale.
Just helmet, gaiters & boots to source.

Radio backpack looks interesting... I've not seen one of those before. How do you know it's for a radio?

The two lower utility pouches look to be Indian made.

44 pattern holster is no use to you really, but the 37 pattern one looks very nice.

You also need small pack, L-straps, water bottle carrier, entrenching tool and cover.

Just a guess on the back pack. It has a slit on one side, aerial maybe? and a small compartment that opens up on the left hand side


The pack has a stiff board internally fitted to the rear and L straps

Inside is divided up like this

The underside of the top flap has the following markings:

ME & Co ZA26516 and a sort of crown with the number 75 underneath
